Rouse Hill Visitor Information Centre is housed inside historic Mungerie House (est 1870s) which has been restored to it’s former glory. The centre offers visitor information services, a meeting room for hire, an interpretation room screening a documentary based on the Battle of Vinegar Hill (1804) and a permanent exhibition of five life size wooden sculptures, a pioneering family and a soldier, created by master chainsaw carver Kevin Gilders in 2001 for the Centenary of Federation of Castle Hill. The centre is managed by Hills, Hawkesbury and Riverlands Tourism Association and is staffed by a group of passionate tourism volunteers ready to assist you! The Centre is where you can access maps, information on local accommodation, drives, tourist attractions, dining, events and so much more! The volunteers are happy to assist you in any way they can, so call in and say hello.
