Take a step back in time when you visit the beautiful big red gum country of Mundulla. Many of Mundullas houses are old and original, dating from the early 1900s and represent a history of rural dwellings architecture over the twentieth century. A walk, drive or leisurely bike ride around the town and surrounding area will reveal many of these historic homes. Mundulla is a thriving small rural town, just a few kilometres southwest of Bordertown, which can boast some of the finest farming land in the state. Take a short self-guided walk around the Moot-Yang-Gunya Swamp Eco Trail and discover its unique flora and fauna and abundant birdlife. Picnic facilities and map of the trail are available at the car park. The Adventure Playground is an ideal family picnic spot and fun for children of all ages. A sheltered electric barbecue with tables and seats are available, with public toilets nearby. The picturesque Mundulla Football Oval and showground is the venue for the annual Moot-Yang-Gunya Festival and Stockmans Challenge and the State Cutting Horse Championships. Campers are welcome.
