This tour represents wonderful value as the price covers all of the following:

  • Return airfares from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Munich.

  • A 9-day first class tour of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria and southern Germany.

  • A 2-night stopover in Bangkok on the way over.

  • A 3-night stopover in Pattaya on the way back.

  • Good first class accommodation.

  • Many meals as per the itinerary.

  • Entrance fees to many attractions.

  • Services of local tour guides and, if there are 12 or more travellers, there will also be an Australian tour leader.
  • We will make every effort to match up single travellers who wish to travel at twin share rates. For anyone requiring a single room, there will be an extra charge of $490.

    Depart Sydney at 5.15pm on TG992, arriving in Bangkok at 10.30pm.
    Depart Melbourne at 5.30pm on TG982, arriving in Bangkok at 10.40pm.
    Depart Brisbane at 10.50pm on TG984, arriving in Bangkok at 5.00am the next morning (24.02.05).
    All flights will be met at the airport and transferred to your first-class hotel in downtown Bangkok.




    24.02.05 (B/L)
    Depart hotel at 10.00am for a tour to Jim Thompson’s house. This is a traditional Thai house jammed full of interesting antiques. This is followed by lunch at a top Thai restaurant in Siam Square.
    Afternoon free.




    25.02.05 (B)
    Mid-morning transfer to Bangkok Airport. Depart at 1.30pm on TG924 and arrive in Munich at 7.15pm.
    You will be met at the airport and transferred to your Munich hotel.

    This afternoon an orientation tour in this fun-loving city shows us the neo-gothic town hall on the Marienplatz as well as the world-famous Hofbrauhaus.

    Munich - Prague
    Today we drive past the Olympic Complex heading north via Regensburg reaching the Czech border. Later, we enter Western Bohemia en route to Pilsen with its gothic old centre. Finally, we arrive in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic.

    Our morning sightseeing tour highlights St Vitus Cathedral, the Charles Bridge plus a visit to the Old Town Square and views of Hradcany Castle. Then free time.

    Prague - Budapest
    The green hills of Moravia glide past as we travel across three countries today. First we enter Slovakia stopping to visit the capital, Bratislava. Then along the Danube Valley to romantic Budapest for two nights.

    Sightseeing of these twin cities shows us the Fishermen’s Bastion, the Church of St Matthias, Heroes’ Square, the Royal Palace and spectacular views from Gellert Hill. Later, free time to perhaps visit the old town of St Andre - a shopper’s paradise.

    Budapest - Vienna
    Our first stop is at historic Gyor en route to the Austrian border. Then it’s a short drive to Imperial Vienna for our two night stay.

    We enjoy a sightseeing tour which takes us along the Imperial Boulevards to see the Hofburg Palace, Opera House, Parliament and more. Then free time.

    Vienna - Salzburg - Munich
    Today we pass the Abbey of Melk and on through the Salzkammergut to Salzburg. Here, sightseeing shows us Mozart’s birthplace plus some of the sites associated with ‘The Sound of Music’. Later we drive back into Germany and on to Munich.

    Late (6.00pm) check-out from your hotel and transfer to Munich Airport, departing at 9.30pm on TG925 and arriving in Bangkok at 1.50pm the next day.

    Your Thai tour guide will meet you at Bangkok Airport and transfer you to Pattaya, Thailand’s most popular beach resort, staying at the centrally situated Siam Bayview Hotel for three nights

    This morning there will be a tour to the Nong Nooch Village. Here you can admire their spectacular grounds and gardens and then see a magnificent Thai culture show.




    09.03.05 (B)
    Morning free. In the afternoon there will be a tour to an elephant village. Here you will learn all about these magnificent animals and see a display of capturing and training wild elephants.




    10.03.05 (B)
    Morning free. Depart the hotel at mid-day for Bangkok Airport. Sydney passengers depart Bangkok at 5.35pm on TG991, arriving in Sydney at 6.35am the next morning (11.03.05).
    Melbourne and Brisbane passengers will be transferred to a large shopping centre near the airport for some last minute shopping. Brisbane passengers depart Bangkok at 11.20pm on TG983 , arriving in Brisbane at 11.25am the next morning (11.03.05)
